Demonstrators, craftspeople & stall holders needed
Hi, coming up in February is the annual Highlands Steam & Vintage Fair in Oberon (NSW). The event runs over 3 days, February 7th - 9th with the main day for the public being Saturday the 8th. We have thousands of people from all over the country in attendance and each year it gets bigger and bigger. The Wood Guys (my Dad & I) put on a Heritage Timber Expo as part of the event. The last few months we have been dealing with a major family crisis and haven't been able to give our part of the event the attention it's needed, and now one of our major draw cards has doubled booked and is unable to attend. I am looking for anyone, and I mean ANYONE, who may be interested in assisting with our event, by way of a demonstration of what you do - especially if there's anyone who does chainsaw carving, milling, instrument making, but really anything to do with timber or craft. Please note: we do have the Sydney Ornamental Woodturners & a blacksmith attending, but the more, the merrier. Also, if there is anyone who has a display of anything related, especially anything used in the olden days, or tree/timber related, would be great. And finally, anyone who has any quality products to sell who might like a stall, the stall sites are $25 for the weekend, camping is on site if required. Even if you are just after a great day out, come along, check it all out and have fun, bring the family! For more information on the event please visit www.highlandssteam.org.au, have a look at the video and you will see what a great weekend it is. If you would like any information on any of the above mentioned, please email me [email protected] or call 0401328535. Thank you for taking the time to read this, any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
