Back in Sep 2010 I posted a message inviting any one to email me if they were interested in felling & removing - up to probably 40-50 camphor laurel trees scattered around the NE boundary - close to both the roadsides - of my Oxley River-frontaged 5-acre block on Tyalgum Creek Rd, 2-3kms West of Tyalgum, a small town 25kms W of Murwillumbah, in Far Northern NSW, in the Western part of the Tweed Valley, NW of Mt Warning.

I got one respondent - from Robina - a bloke who wanted just one tree - preferably dead - so that he could use it to make candlesticks or small furniture items because
my trees - which you could probably describe as saplings - with dual-trunks close to the ground and a dia. of +/- 180mm.

What now follows is the remainder of the earlier post, suitably revised :
The trees now vary in height upward from +/- 8m to +/- 15m dependent on age.
Those of the older taller ones - cut down 12? years ago by the previous owner, have of course all "re-shooted" but nevertheless could still be useful to someone?
The uncut single-trunk remainder - of greater height - would probably have a dia. much wider than 180mm, but only a close-up visual inspection would show this.
All these taller ones are growing on a slope of up to 45? degs. and the smaller ones on a slope of about 30 degs.
I'vew now moved into my new home there - on the high side of the block at the 100m above-sea level contour - and would like to have as many of these trees removed as possible, so as to take full advantage of the beautiful views to the valleys below.

Removed trees will be FREE of charge to you, but a bottle of red would be nice. If you only want 1 or 2 of the trees ripped out by the builder - which have been dead for 3 to 4 months now then that's fine too.

I am aware though of a market to a local sugar mill, and of a local business that does occasional felling of camphors at no-charge, but have not got a response from despite a few repeated calls to them.

To genuine enquirers, I'll initially make available the Google Maps' address which Satellite view clearly illustrates the location of the block's heavily-treed areas - & supply more details required. Preferably reply to this post by sending an email to me -
