End of an Era
Hi all,
Its all winding down all a little too fast. I might be a rare commodity for a bit while I sort out the wreckage.
The last 5 days have been non-stop for my little fire pit.... so many things to get rid of! By Jove there were a LOT of offcuts!!!!
Its a sad time, but happy too... hopefully there will be something new!
Carved Spoons? Scrollsaws? lets discover
Thank you all for the very kind words and thoughts. Many have written. Thank you.

Whatever the future brings I know they can’t keep a good man down. Once wood working is in your blood, it’s there for good.
All the best to you and yours and thanks for the journey so far.

CRIKEY! Nothing that terrible!
SWMBO has had treatment for a brain tumour, 12 months of chemo and just finished radio. Its taken a lot out of her. We are down sizing dramatically so I wont have a studio.
It will be just a simple 2-beddie unit modern generic. All very sterile.
Im thinking of packing all my stuff into a 2x2 storage at Kennards (or such) and renting a place for a week once a month.... an empty commercial Generic Concrete Box... and do a "pop up" woodshop.
My father even suggested a dual-axle tradie trailer. Pack everything in that and reverse it into a storage. Perhaps a giant Mercedes Vito... hmmmm.....

Hi Evan
Hoping all progresses well with treatment ...
Don't forget - you can always store your tools and wood, especially wood, at my place

Evan, To you and your wife, all the best. My wife and I have already been down the road you are now travelling. I trust the changes you are making will make life a bit easier for both of you. Just remember, "A man without a tool is not really a man at all."
Regards,
Ken.

Evan, all the best to your wife and yourself. Thank you for all the wonderful posts and threads, I’m sure we will still see you on here. I recall you mentioning about making some ukuleles, I think you could do that with minimal tools and space (not telling you what to do by the way, just a thought)
Cheers Cal
