Al, hope he comes on Sat, buys the Crappo, and you're flush on Sunday. Hope you can get here mate

Time to dial in a bit more detail, methinks.

Will make 12.00pm the appointed time, Sun 1st Oct for anyone having trouble with short term memory loss.

Will pm address out to attendees.

Supplied: BBQ, snags, bread, homemade rissoles & coleslaw (yummo)

Please BYO drinks. Welcome to BYO meat if yer a fussy bugger.

Optional - bringing a salad or sweets or nibblies would be great - maybe say wot in this thread so no doubling up.

Bring some stuff for show & tell, be it small projects, a new tool, something we'd all be interested in, eg. Domino, wood thread cutting doovah, Sturdee triton bucket cyclone, anything of interest.

Sharpening stuff (and some blunt things ) would be useful too for comparing notes & trying new ideas. To recap, I have a couple of waterstones, an eclipse type honing guide, an 8" grinder, and a stationary belt/disc sander (that I'll atempt to get Derek's jig made in time ) Please bring more of the same, and/or other sharpening media, maybe a Veritas Mk II honing guide.

Don't forget to wear yer cap

Getting close now, can smell the barby already

    Cheers...............Sean

I'll bring one of my famous home made cheese cakes from the Cheesecake shop.

    Sean,

I'll bring the original Sturdee Triton dust bucket for show and tell and can explain how to build one.

I'll bring along one of these and one of those. Bring along a knife to sharpen so you can try it out (normal edges, not serrated).

One of these was bought when I got my bandsaw, tablesaw and jointer. I figured that since I knew Ed (correspondence) I'd give it a go and get my tools set up correctly from the get-go. I also used it to setup my drill press. Since I got it a while ago I am not sure what I paid (about $150-200), it came with a Starrett guage and the case, plus a machined square. I found it very useful to tweak the saws, fences etc. In fact, I need to re-tune the saw since I've moved it.

It has been out on loan a few times tuning other tools on occasion.
I have the DVD too, it is very good at explaining the sequence for tuning your tools (yes, there is a sequence!).

I like the 'these' - can already see problems the bbq is going to cause - temptations too great for the wallet to resist!

Will definitely be there - blunt chisels, jap waterstones, mk2 veritas, etc in hand
