I am also running 1024 x 768 and the front page does not fit width wise for me, all other pages resize automatically with no problems.
Pages seem really slow to load tonight - sometimes 5 or so seconds before it starts. No problems with any other sites from my end just here.
To all the effort you are putting in with the changes and upgrades at the moment Neil.
Just opened a new page and counted 17 seconds to load, the yellow page background, header and advertisements come up immediately and then 17 seconds till the thread comes up.Last edited by Burnsy; 10th July 2008 at 12:06 AM. Reason: Add more

Lots of work going on in the background from around 10:40pm till 1:00am
Could have been that also a big lot of people on line around 10:45 was over 1,400 from memory.
Cheers - Neil
PS slow page loads aren't always the forums fault it's more often than not the server load as around 10:30 our time USA starts waking up and logging on the UK is fully on line from then until around 7:00am our time. Backups of the forum can start from anywhere around 11:00pm and run till around 12:30am.

All pages fit fine. I'm at 1024X768 and no worries. Just use your page squeezer button.
Cheers,
Bob

Hi there
It seems like nothing displays on the screen until everything is actually loaded. Usually the thread would display and you'd see things like the images, buttons, background images etc.. load one ofter the other.
I'd say its caused by the nested tables and the new side panel, i'll have a look tonight unless its fixed before hand.
regardsSteve

We seem to have another major change to the forum look and feel, the colour of the day has changed again. At least we won't get bored with the forum look and feel.
Why is it that iSpy is always the first casualty of any change? It has disappeared again.
I wonder how many people use the Bookmarks at the bottom of the screen that used to take up about 1 line and now take up between one third and half the screen?
The forum content is becoming almost incidental to all the other stuff on the screen.

Threads seem to be slow to load now.
The header comes down quickly & pages without threads load quickly but the thread takes ages & then suddenly appears.
Once you could read the page while it was loading & close it if you had finished or didn't want to go any further, now it seems that you don't get to see it til it is fully loaded.Cliff.

This place is now really weird with the red underlines & I can't type in the box.... but cut & paste works.
