Slow loading is probably a cache issue rather than the side bar which has gone for the moment New shin has been reloades about a dozen times thismorning and this means it is being recached after each reload (or something like that) once its in there it should be fast even with the side bar.
I had it perfect until I went to put it on last night and stuffed up. All you see now and for the next few days will be bandaid measures.
Could take some time to get it all back working properly.
Some of what should have been and what is, is explained here. https://www.woodworkforums.com/f12/update-stuff-forum-skin-75522

The funny red underlines are weird.
Entering stuff in the window is a bit tricky too, you have to click a smilie first or right click & select all before you can post & then you can't use the mouse to move your cursor, you have to use arrows & page up/down & home/end.Cliff.
If you find a post of mine that is missing a pic that you'd like to see, let me know & I'll see if I can find a copy.

Every time I click anywhere on a page, for instance in this text box, to start typing, Jim Carroll's website opens in another page.
That's good for Jim I suppose, but if I go to insert the cursor somewhere else, another page opens, and so on.
I don't see any red underlining (using Safari 3.1.2)

P

Have made U-Beaut skin available at bottom of the page. Most of the problems seem to stemming from ie as everything appears to be working fine in all other browsers.
If u-Beaut skin seems to fix the problems or at least most of them, I will make that the default and hopefully get the rest up later... much.
Quick fix - no BEST FIX - Get Firefox.

the Ubeaut skin fixes some things but it has problems in other places.
I don't see the underlines any more & the message window works properley but the threads look weird.
I can live with it.... I'll just go & do some work instead.Cliff.
