Forum Outages
We have experienced a number of outages on the forum over the last few days which have seen us off the air for many hours.
These have been caused by major server problems at our ISP. The whole site will be transfered to a brand new super-dooper server some time today which may again cause a bit of an outage but it shouldn't be for very long and should give us a good few years of hastle free service.
Sorry for any inconvenience that these outages have caused but they were completely beyond our control.
Cheers - Neil

Hi Neil,
Thanks for the info, I only noticed two outages.
I simply came back later and all was well,
Thanks for a great forum.

The time is strange and always has been as far as I've noticed.
My time is currently 1947 EDST - forum time is showing as - damn, can't see it while typing this but it was 9:45AM (or 0945 hours)just as I started this. I did a couple of refreshes just to make sure I had the latest version. It also claims to be Australian EST.

Well fix it. It aint hard.
Go into User cp at top of page. Click on Edit Options and if you are in Australia set the Time Offset to GMT +10:00hrs EAST (East Australian Standard).
If you're somewhere else then figure it out for yourself. All the time offsets are there, you don't need to be a rocket scientist.

Aw Neil don't get shirty with the poor lad.
My times are perfect.
I don't understand why I don't get the ads, I don't have a firewall but I think my isp does after that silly bug thing a few months ago.
Shame coz I'd love to click some money your way. I love this BB you're the best. Thanks for a great resource.
cheers and happy Christmas even if you dont go to the carols.

Done - now the statement at the bottom of the page is correct!
It does (and it did before) state that ALL times are Australian Eastern Standard Time. I didn't know there was an option (amongst all the options) that allowed you to select your time zone. I had realised it was reading UTC but hadn't wanted to mention the obvious.
It is not the first time I have seen comments about the time - maybe a hint in that line would help, that is - if it is not an untouchable part of the package.

Guys in WA have to set the offset to GMT + 7 to get our local time and the time shown by the board to match. Same time as Bangkok cause it keeps our choocks happy.
