Default The Fryerstown Antique Market, Vic.

Hi to all you Collectors, & Whatever,
I believe that you can go Fri., but not a good idea as most of the Stalls are shut.
So Sat. 25th. Jan. 2014, Fryerstown Vic. Antique Market, is the Day to get there.
It is under some very nice Gum Trees.

    Fryerstown, Where is it, easy.

Go to Google Maps, print, eg. Footscray Vic to Fryerstown Vic (No Stops & No Commas)
It will give you the Time it takes to get there, How Far it is. & a Blued out Line of the Road to take.
Usually rather Hot, so good Shoes, Big Hat, Plenty of Money, are needed.
There will be Upwards of 4-5000 People there.
Not sure what Sun. or Mon. are like as I have only gone on the Sat.
    There is an Entry Fee.
    Regards,
    issatree.

    Default What A Day.

    Hi All,
I had one of the Best Days ever at The Fryerstown Antique Market Vic. under the Trees.
Dearest Part was Entry & Food, but had a few good buys.
About 1st. time ever I bought 2 Tuning Forks, & now have close to 20, & are all different.
1 of them is a James Walker, in the Octave of A 440.
Now, 440 is the Vibrations Per Second, is 5½in.- 140mm.Long.
The other is a Metzler, Philharmonic, A, but is only 3½in.- 65mm.Long. Never had 1 that small before.
3 Carving Chisels, maybe Dastra, but are rather Rusty, but still have the Decals on the Handle, but unreadable. Been laying in water for a time.
A Socket Bevel Blade Chisel, has a double ended Arrow, S one end & maybe an O or a Fish Hook on the other.
A few more pieces, & that was it for the Day. Quite tired after a 1.30Hrs drive home, as I got there at 6.20am. finished approx. 2.45pm. A long day.
If you are in the vicinity, there is still Sun. 26th. & Mon. 27th.
    Regards,
    issatree.
