    Default The Geelong Vintage Rally, Vic.

    Hi All,
    My Apologies, as this should have been announced at least a week ago.
    To be held at the Royal Geelong Showgrounds, both Sat. 12th. & Sun !3th.
    The normal Sun. Market is also on, but you have to pay, to get to the Rally, well worth it though.
    The Barwon Valley Woodwrights Inc. will be there on Sun. with 2 Wood Lathes running as well as some work being Exhibited & for Sale as well.
    Please say Hello if you Come, as 2 of us are Forum Members.

    Default The Rally.

    Hi Handyjack,
    Would have liked to have had a chat, maybe we did, but I don't think we Introduced ourselves.
    I half remember a Chap in the Background Taking Photos.
    I really wasn't to be there, but when a few people came into see, I thought, what the heck, & just started Turning, & the People came, & I had a great day.
    Thank you for the Photo, not to bad at all zoomed in. It is all on again tomorrow, with a few others as well I think to join me.

    Default The Vintage Rally.

    Hi All,
    Well we had a Great Weekend, with 2 Lathes running today & approx. 7 other Members attending.
    I think we will most likely sign up 3 new Members.
    Always a lot of interest in what can be made on a Lathe, & also with the Wood we use.
    I nearly always, take the Uglyist pieces of Wood I can find.
    " You can't Turn that ", but I usually do, which amuses the onlookers.
    So, all over for another Year.

    Wood have loved to have taken home that Beautiful Red Riley Car, with the Straight Eight in it. Purred like a Kitten.
    Didn't look, but wood have been Late 40's I reckon.
