    Default Grandfather's Woodwork machines

My grandfather recently passed away and am looking to sell his woodwork machines. He had been using them for as long as i can remember, until a couple of years ago when he could no longer use them cause of illness and the fact that he was 80. I have no idea what i want for any of it as i have no idea what it is all worth.

    There is:
    Durden L500 Wood Lathe
    6" Belt & 9" Disc Sander
Hitachi C9 235mm Circular Saw with a Triton Workcentre
    Craftsman Lathe
    16 speed Galaxy Drill PressSOLD
Hitachi M 12v 1/2" 12mm Router with Triton Router and Jigsaw Stand
    Makita 255mm Mitre Saw
    Ryobi 16" Scroll Saw
    Woodman Band SawSOLD
Some of the items have bits to go with them like round things with teeth on it. i know not very technical but hey it was my grandfather that was into this stuff not me.

Is difficult to value items that have no description of working condition. Would be an idea if you could have someone come over who may be able to give you an idea as to what you could expect to make of each item. You will sell if the price is right.
sorry to hear about your Grandfathers passing, those machines would have been his pride and joy. Good luck with the sale.

When you've got more of an idea what you are after, I might be interested in the bandsaw &/or drill press. But I'm here in Adelaide, so cost of fuel/transport might be going against me...Keep us informed?

Okay, I understand. why don't you ask one of the moderators of this forum to move this thread into the market place where you will have a better chance of having someone at least tell you what you may expect to make of them You have some good machines there and I am sure there would be some forumites willing to help you out and want to buy from you. If a Mod sees this thread, how about moving it to the market place guys.?

Click here to go to the market place. Check it out.You may get some idea as to what to ask for your machines and ask for advice. There are plenty of guys who will be happy to tell you what they may be worth. I saw a belt sander similar to the one you have, sold recently on here for around $150. The drill press I wold suggest you ask around the $250 mark for it maybe a little more or less. Triton table and saw and the Triton router table and router I would try to sell in a package. maybe around $350 asking and see what happens. you can always come down in price if need to. Not sure what to suggest on the other items not really up on the Lathes but someone will soon tell you in the market place. Hope this helps as a starting point.

This was moved here as there were no prices. Prices are required for the Market Place.
