    Default Hardware Upgrade

There will be an outage tonight at 5:30pm for approx 20 minutes, to allow for the replacement of a hard drive and the addition of extra Ram.

Apologies for the short notice and inconvenient timing.

    regards

I expect a fair chunk of the forum membership have been involved in upgrades that went like that

Just remember, "To err is human, but to really foul things up requires a computer"

BTW - I didn't notice many issues - thanks for looking after the hardware
    Cheers,
    Dave

Hi there, no stress it would have been (and should have been) all over in about 15 minutes, except mounting the new drive caused server load to goto 600+ the server obviously stopped responding and needed rebooting. It eventually mounted OK, we then found there was some corruption in several database tables, everything was fixed an error free a little before midnight.
