wowee that would be awesome, so many things to see.
Id guess a lot of the 'sellers' would be "join my facebook etc". and I will teach you for a fee.
so many old crafts coming back, but then how many are really relevant in todays age.
I have a close liaison with a quilters group and while their quilts are beautiful, not something that suits my decor anymore.

Agreed - but its not the technique that's the problem....

On quilts, I made some a while back - they were covered in hand-stitched dinosaurs and others in robots, all using layering and scenes. They were a huge smash hit with the kids and every single one of their friends wanted one too. I made out like a pirate.

I also made another using old kimonos (dirt cheap on eBay japan, its a crime) and throw pillows from Chinese Hanfu fabrics. They are bloody excellent. (When I was in Chinatown after buying the fabric, at my regular Yumcha place the staff were absolutely ecstatic)

Quilters are stuck in this weird 1800's mentality on designs and patterns. They insist on a bizarre set of retro ideologies and simply can't move past it. It isn't the technique that's the problem, its their ART. The art is heinous. A dreadful and sad combination of skill, perseverance and mindless copying.

I'm now also into leatherwork for cars (started all from a need to repair the drivers seat), book binding and (it doesn't have a name) Cardboard-boxes-covered-in-fabrics. These are used for storage.

Spoon making is becoming a favourite too.

Old crafts can/could be huge, it just needs to GET MODERN.

Max Tucker, the young blacksmith, has an interesting story. He went to the first Fair at Kyneton in 2013 as a young teenager and decided there and then that blacksmithing was to be his life. He was featured on Better Homes and Gardens last year.

Yes have seen him get more comfortable doing what he does, and now engaging more with the crowd, compared to that young kid who would rarely lift his head. Confidence is a big thing.
