Hi, I am new to the forum..wanted to get the word out to all in the wood-turning fraternity of my stash of 400+ tropical hardwood slabs I have in Mornington, Victoria. These slabs came from Cairns/ Mossman area in Qld. I bought them from my ex-boss, who had to return to Austria for health reasons, so he never got to realize his dream of making beautiful furniture through his joinery business up there (which he also sold). The slabs were milled at least 10 years ago and have been dry-stored since then, and were trucked down to Vic. last January (two full semi-loads). They include: Qld Maple Silkwood, Red Cedar, several MASSIVE Raintree slabs, Rosegum and several other species. I do not have the facilities or the know-how to do justice to this timber, so am looking to sell it all, preferably as one consignment, but will break it up if necessary. Initial enquiries/contact can be made by sending me an e-mail, or calling Dave: 0418 811 268. I can send an inventory to any one interested, and can be inspected in Mornington by prior arrangement during business hours and/or weekends. First in, best dressed! Good luck.
