    Default Ian007's Fund raiser.

Gooday Forum Members. This is for those that don’t read the whole board.

It started with this message from Ian007 in Adelaide.

My wife and I have a son who has Down Syndrome.
He goes to a special school here in Adelaide.
His school teacher has asked me to help with some fund raising so we can get some stuff for the gym. They currently have three parts of nothing.

So they need to raise some funds.

    My Idea is

Would any of my fellow Forum members be willing to make a few pens to donate to the kids so that they could be sold to raise funds to buy some gym gear for these very special needs Kids?

I will make some pens but if I made 30 pens and we got $20 each for them as a fund raiser that would only buy
one exersise bike, and we need a bit more than on bike.

So there you have it, would any of you kind folk like to help out some disabled Kids?
It has grown in size to others offering timber and other types of help.

My offer is a large bowl to be raffled or auctioned as Ian sees fit.

The latest suggestion by “Ashore” is that members pledge $5.00 to enter and try to guess on what date and time that the 10,000th member signs up. He offered to give Al’s picture dressed in foil as the prize. Not many takers as it seems that some members have taste.

Neil and I have discussed this and Neil is offering $50.00 worth of Ubeaut Products to sweeten the competition for the person that gets closest. You also have the knowledge that you have helped a worthwhile cause.

The rules (there has to be rules):
1: Any nationality may enter but due to postage costs only Australian contributors can win.
2: If the 10,000th is an alias of a present member it will be disqualified. Vee hav wayz of checking.
3: The judges word is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Guess who the judge is?
4: All monies are to be paid to Ian007 prior to May1st in full for inclusion in the competion.

This will be a sticky until May 5th. Please keep comments on topic. Frivilous ones will be deleted. All guesses are to go in here.

Have fun and lets see if the members of Ubeaut Wood Working Forums can equip a whole gym.

    I'll go for 7-15pm 15th April 2006

Can we have more than one guess as long as we pay for each one?

I wonder if there will be new members like "Prince Charles" popping up as people get sick of waiting and try to jack up the list. Not that I care, should be interesting to watch.

And I will pay for the winner to get a T-shirt printed with Al's foiley pic, t-shirt to be worn at the next WWW show after winning.
