I am not sure the transaction went through the other day so I just did it again, let's see what happens now.

I'm really looking forward to this, and am hoping it will live up to my expectations!
Looking at their website now, it looks to be a good day. A number of exhibitors from the 'mainstream' shows, including some who haven't been there for the past few years. And its not just filled with woody stuff with a variety of food options, some music including the return of Stan, and wood chopping.
And parking won't cost you half the price of a tablesaw as it does at Homebush, a paltry gold coin donation to the local Men's Shed will see you in.
Hopefully those who can get there, will. With the mainstream national show disappearing up its own behind, these smaller shows are really getting up and growing.
See ya's on Satdy!

I been, I spent, I enjoyed.
Low key event, enough stalls and variety to keep most people (FF I mean you) happy.
For a few stall holders, it's their first event, so teething problems have to be overcome.
Food is affordable and not the run of the mill stuff, with Russian, Chilean, Thai, BBQ & others on offer.Pat

I went up saturday and had a thoroughly enjoyable time.I was talking to Stuart and he had 1500 through the gates Friday.People were still coming in at 3 pm when i was leaving. So I reckon they would easily go past the 5000 they were hoping for the 2 days.It was great to see lots of families and the kids were being catered to.Great first up effort and it will be bigger and better next year.
Cheers......Roy

Enjoy the day if you are going today guys. I won't be going. I have just woken, my brain is in Abu Dhabi, my stomach still in Manchester but at least my bags are in Sydney. As Christos said, plenty of pictures please for those of us who won't see it for themselves?

I enjoyed it. Definitely catered for the kids with some activities and great food options, which helped bring people through the gates. There was a great crowd too, I was surprised.
On the woodie side, for a shows first year, it was pretty good. It just needs a few more vendors and it would pass the other show (and congrats to the vendors who were there for jumping into the unknown for supporting this).
Bigger and better next year? Surely! It shows that a fresh show with decent parking & admission, demo's and workshops that aren't 10 years old is possible (yeah, I get that it wasn't smack bang in Sydney). A great event for someone who (I presume) haven't done one like it before.

Totally agree with other comments. Was one of the best shows I've attended in a while. It had a real welcoming feel about it with all the vendors/exhibitors all really keen for a chat without that underlying sales pitch I usually feel at the wood show. And the food.. I would go again for the food alone.
And as others have also said, kid friendly. My daughter (5yo) kept saying that she wanted to come. I said you won't have fun. How wrong was I... I think she enjoyed just as much if not more than me. Making little wooden critters, hand planing some chopsticks and using a saw twice her size to cut off a slice of camphor.
Huge congrats to the organisers. Can't wait for next year.

This show has a great future and it is refreshing to have a show in such a beautiful part of the world. No traffic jams, rip off parking fees etc, just a pity Bulli Pass was closed and prevented easy access from the freeway but the drive down the coast road is spectacular for those who don't do it often or haven't done it and a proper PIA for those that live locally.
