Iminent U-Beaut Price Rise.
U-Beaut Polishes has a pretty hefty price rise due to go on line Monday July 1st.
This weekend will be the last chance to buy from us at our old prices. You may be able to get some products at old prices from distributors for a few weeks but once they replenish stock the prices will go up everywhere.
The price rise is mainly due to a massive, continual rise in the price of shellac over the last 2 years of around 180%. (IE what cost $80,000 to import 2 years ago now costs a little over $220,000) plus a price rises in everything petrochemical, eg solvents, containers, waxes, etc.
For those interested:
The price of shellac has risen so dramatically due to major crop failures causing a world shortage of shellac.
We were smart enough to tie our shellac business to the only far sighted importer in Australia who brought in enough shellac to hopefully weather the price rise. He is also the only one to have proper storage facility for the shellac (apart from us) most shellac especially the white varietys, should be stored at a temperature between 4C-8C constant.
Anyway but unfortunately the stocks are depleted and the time has come.
Cheers - Neil
