The success of ACI’s JETBLACK Cleaning Stations is proving that the
improper use of compressed air for personnel blow-down has been a
serious issue.
Available as a portable or wall-mounted package, the JETBLACK has
been specifically designed to be installed into a factory or clean room
environment where dust, dirt, fibres or water need to be effectively
removed from personnel clothing, footwear, or for product during the
manufacturing process.
The JETBLACK is safe, and easy to use. The unit is powered by a high
speed fan unit which produces air pressures of less than 2.5psi, but
enough air volume to be able to safely agitate dust and debris from
clothing for example.
The JETBLACK poses no danger to operators, and having a blower as
the power source and not compressed air has eliminated the issue to
contact pressure with any obstacle including direct contact with
human skin.

So it's a vacuum cleaner that only blows?
I'm sure if anyone in this forum had a spare $2000 or so to spend, it's unlikely to be spent on a suckless vacuum cleaner.
Just think of all the wonderful tools you could buy for that ...Geoff

Well this is a product that is more aimed at business owners rather then personal at home use.
I was hoping that several of the members here were work in the wood work industry and thus could take this information to their work if they had a need for one. Worksafe are bringing in big new laws regarding the use of compressed air in the work place so a lot of company's are looking for cheap/safe alternatives which is exactly what this product is.

I can see the draw for a pro shop, I will stick with just using the shake like @#$% method, for what the vacuum misses
I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be.

Can be modified to fit a special fitting if required. They come with the hose and gun already clamped together. The gun has a rotating pivot on the end as well.

That's a pity; I was looking for some bayonet fittings to adapt to various power tools etc. for ease of connection. Thanks anyway.

We are able to modify them to suit if required.

No, really, I was just looking for some bayonet fittings. I've got a powerful wet and dry vacuum cleaner with reverse flow function if I felt like giving myself a blow. However, stripping off in the back yard and shaking my clothes before I go indoors is about as far as go with dust removal.

its just a motor and an right what makes it so dear?
i reckon i could build one for less than $200.
