Default Kyneton Vic. Lost Trades Fair.

    Come One Come All.
One of the Best Shows you will ever go to in 2017.
Supposedly there will be over 100 Exhibitors, quite a few more than last year, which was very good. All under the beautiful Elm Trees at the Kyneton Race Course.
Tickets maybe obtained via the Web site " losttradesfair.com " $15.
There will be only a few Tickets at the gate. Sat / Sun 11 / 12th March.
You can park in the centre of the Course.
I heard there are Buses running from the Train Station, but best check 1st.
Unfortunately I cannot make it this year ( Drats & Worse )
I assure you you will have a great day.
I am not connected with this Fair.
    Regards,
    issatree.

Via Temora (Aviation Museum), Wagga Wagga (old mate), Holbrook ( favourite antique shop), Wangaratta (cheap motel), Melbourne (Timbecon), Greendale (tracing GREAT grandfather's grave), Ballan (tracing great grandfather!), NOW Bendigo (another cheap motel)......... I WILL be there on Saturday but it sounds like I'd better buy my ticket NOW?

Looks like your LOST TRADE will be walking!
When I woke from my knee op, one of the nurses had drawn Winston Churchill's face on my swollen knee, complete with cigar and spotted bow tie!

    Default Family Tickets.

    Hi Dave,
I do believe they have F/Tickets. The W/Site has all the info.
Good Idea is to take your food & Drink as there is about a 15/20 min. wait, & expensive.
    Regards,
    issatree.

I won't be there this year for various reasons, but having enjoyed it the last two years, I highly recommend it to everyone.

    Cheers

I just got home from the fair. It was good, and a nice day for it though the sun still has some bite to it. Kept me entertained for 2 1/2hours. Buying your tickets online and printing them out is the way to go. There was a long, slow queue to buy tickets at the gate. The prepaid line was only medium long but fast moving. Parked my car and through the gates within about 4 minutes. It is certainly a popular event now. So many people of different shapes and sizes. The small ones I don't mind so much, but the big ones make it hard to see at times

I didn't take many photos. I only had my phone which is average at the best of times and bloody terrible under the shade of the trees. But these two photos worked pretty well out in the full sunshine watching these two blokes splitting an Alpine Ash by hand. And then they made a few shingles knowing that the shingles would be pretty terrible, but show anyways for the crowd which was mighty fine of them to do.

Just got back to my rented hovel. I certainly agree with Kuffy re pre-paying for the tickets. He pre-paid, parked and entered in 4 minutes whereas I, a NON pre-payer, took nearly 90 minutes. There was something for everyone. I spent most of my time at the printers, bookbinders and French polishers. I met up with Pacman and Shanesmith80 but didn't see DaveTTC? Pacman, who mostly haunted the spoon carver demos, and I, couldn't see a valid reason to stand in a dusty queue for 30 minutes for a gozleme when there was a pass out system and perfectly good pub only 15 minutes away, so..........?
It is definitely worth attending and, other than the entry hassles, it is very well organised and obviously well attended. There is a similar event happening soon in Bathurst so, for those of us North of the Murray, I'll get some more details and post.
