Thanks Fred!
I think I'll pop along again! It was a great day last year, although very crowded, so I hope the new venue will sort things out a little bit with crowd control & better food vendors.
I notice that the admission price is $10 (Children $5) (which is minimal), but someone as the pay for the venue/clean-up etc.Last edited by Mulgabill; 26th February 2015 at 04:10 PM. Reason: Admission Price error

Just checked the dates and it will clash with the Phillip Island Historics on the same days.
So it looks as if I will be giving it a miss this year.
Hope everyone enjoys themselves, and brings back 'MANY PICTURES' for those of us unable to go, to drool over.

Sorry Issatree and DSEL, my mistake! I misread the Children admission $5 as the Adult admission. My original post has been amended.

SWMBO and I intend to go but have yet to decide which day.
I also wish to attend the Model Railway Show at Sandown which is on over the long weekend as well.Tom

The steam festival is on at rowville also. I'll go on the Sat & if I can get away I'll get to the steam fest Sunday.
There are Sat & Sun tickets but you can use the online either day, but only once.…..Live a Quiet Life & Work with your Hands

I am trying to get there on the Sunday, we have another event on Saturday.
Big obstacle for Sunday is that it is the girlfriend's mother's birthday. I am trying to strike a deal to get there but it probably involves taking the old fruitbat with us. (and yes, I do call her that to her face) She is right into old things like genealogy and family history and all that so she might go for it.
I hope it turns out to be a good event whether I make it there or not.

Just bought my tickets online- greatly looking forward to the event. Any local advice for where to lob a caravan for nix?
Dale do you mean Steamfest at the National Steam Centre in Scoresby? http://www.melbournesteam.com.au/ Also hope to get to it and help Steve drive his steam hammer.
If anyone has the ear of Rundell's and their magnificent organising team, please, a gentle suggestion to avoid this weekend next time (would also like to see Phillip Island Classic one day).
