Just back from the meet and greet.

Good to meet some new faces. Jeff (DIY DAN) has a really nice set-up there so anybody looking for some workshop space should definitely check it out.

Thanks to Jeff for putting it on and to Brendan for bringing along a couple of real drool worthy machines.

I saw Jeff with a camera so I expect that some pics will follow. Hopefully he missed me.

    Cheers
    Craig

Just back myself........man it takes a while to load those machines

Thanks all for coming. I had a great time and got to meet a few forumites I had not previously met.

I think Zed was there at some stage.......he should get a bit more self-confidence and talk to a few more people.

Big thank you to DIY Dan and especially to Brendan, lugging all that very heavy gear across town on a Friday night, when we all should have been in the pub.

DIY Dans workshop is very well equiped and should feature on everyones resource list. Its big, light and airy and will be a pleasure to mangle some innocent bits of cellulose in.

I think we were all impressed with the Felder/Hammer gear and their commitment to service, and when any of us get over the price hurdle Brendan's time won't have been wasted.

I'm off to cricket, we're in the field and its 30 degrees. Oh Joy.

    Default Meet And Greet

Want to thank all the guys for turning up last night, ( it's quite a hike for some of you), especially Brendan and his fabulous machines. He worked really hard and deserves a pat on the back ( or even a bit lower).

It was terrific to meet some of the forumites and I hope to do more of this in the future and meet some more of you all. You all???, I must have been talking to TEX last night.

Got plenty of still shots last night and will post them just as soon as I work out how. Also took some video but not sure if it came out O.K. Will have to figure out the camera first. (Mabye it was me and that German beer and not the camera).

I really enjoyed the night . Hope you all did too. Thanks again Brendan, and Pete from Bathurst, the cook, henceforth to be known as "THE COUNTRY BOY"

It was really great to meet all y'all.

Thanks very much Dan for hosting it, and that's a great setup you've got. I do plan to use it some in the next few weeks.

Also thanks very much Brendan for bringing the gear and letting us play with it. I hope we didn't break anything that can't be fixed. Both the bandsaw and the jointer/thicknesser were lovely machines, and are on my list of things to buy as soon as I win that lottery.

Guess I should buy a ticket then.

    Tex
