Boogger not 11/11 for me
Where was I ... sleeping I guess
I log on at least once a day every day and missed this thread til 2nite
I was about to respond that I'm in for sure ... until about 3 posts ago when I saw that the proposed date is the only one that I'm tied up for about two months!!
If it's not on Saturday 11 Nov, I'm in
Otherwise have a good one chaps and I'll catch you at the next one.
CheersRamps

Saturday 11th sounds fantastic...
Sorry I havent logged on lately, been extremely busy, lately but thats affirmative...YES YES YES, bring...what-ever you decide is ok by me...help welcome....meet you soon....THANK-YOU ALL
OR NOT....ooopppssa again just saw the last two threads, I answered the threat from Dingo, last page didn't see this till later really doesn't worry me what date you put...of course I know that one date is not going to suit every-one, but I am sure that once we get one going we can do a Summer then Winter one....why not...when something is enjoyable & fun, it doesn't stop at one!
Did anyone see the idea I threw in regarding what to bring....????
For woodworkers & /or turners....piece of work that fits either the same size as your eski or fit into a stubby holder...???...any takers....show & tell is inspirational to others.....
Catch on later, bye from KerryDon't think you're playing it safe by walking in the middle of the road.....that's the surest way to get hit by traffic coming from both ways!
I'm passionate about woodwork.......making Sawdust again & loving it!

Hmmmmmmmmm.
My wife will be attending a friend's 60th birthday bash that evening and I may have to take her to Perth that day.
Keep me in the loop. I might just find a way to get there.
It only takes one drink to get me loaded. Trouble is, I can't remember if it's the thirteenth or fourteenth.

Hi all,
Saturday Nov. 11 would be OK for me at this stage, (only just found this thread). The last gathering at Derek's place was terrific.

OK all,
We have a conformation that the get together will happen at Kekemo's place in Mandurah. Good onya Kerry
A couple have stated an inability to attend on the Saturday, so how about Sunday the 12th of November? The weekend of the 11/12th is best for Kekemo (Kerry), so we need to lock in which day.
Also, does anyone have any problem with me sending an invitation to Mike and Sandra Berwick, who are Missan Timbers? The purpose would be so they could bring some of the timber they sell both in Lake Clifton and on Ebay, to sell to members at the meet.
For Kerry's sake, I would like to confirm the date by this Thursday, which will give everyone plenty of time.
Let me know guys and gals.

Either Saturday or Sunday is fine.
Let me has some feedback from all of you whether you want me to do a demo of somerthing - sharpening blades (I can't bring along my large belt sander but I can do microbevelling on the Veritas Honing Guide Mk II as well as hollow grinding on my high speed grinder), preparing and using card scrapers (really a must for all woodworkers, hand- or power included), using handplanes (such as the indispensible ones for hand/power users), etc.
I also suggest that it would be a nice idea to bring a few things along for Show-and-Tell, such as a couple of favourite or interesting tools (yeah, lug that tablesaw along ...).
Regards
Derek

Saturday or Sunday is fine for me, too.
Once we have an idea of final numbers, Gaz, can you let me know? I'll print off copies of the Code of Practice for everyone.

Sunday will be fine by me too.
Any indication of a rough assembly time? I imagine before lunch to give a full day.
Is it byo meat for a bbq? Anything else required to bring?

Southerners want to share a lift?
Landseka I want to share a lift with you ... you know from your photo I wouldn't have put you over 20 ... definitely not 58!
Landseka, dingo and others if Sunday is a go who like to share a lift? ... I'm happy to drive or passenger, PM to arrange pickup if you like.
Derek
I'm interested in shapening a scraper as I'm about to dig into the inside of my canoe and I can see a higher modified reject plane blade beinga good tool. As far as the est of the suggestions, I'm always keen to watch and learn.
Talk soon chapsRamps
