Agree with the others and particularly Derek's sentiment. I am only going to see whether Dingo talks like he types.

Ok, I'll be there, as long as it is not on a Sunday.
Do we have a time? Date? And accurate directions?
My dad and I will both be coming down, so nobody needs to pick me up, thanks for the PM's offering to though. Should we bring our chainsaws?

As I said to her bloody highness that day so many years back when they put that ball an chain aroun me ankle  never forget that day so long ago when into the abyss I was sent... willingly at first but as dawning started to overcome me with risin dread... started about when I forgot her name an muddled some of the words shes starin glarin at me the flowers droopin and chokin in her clenched fists... aahhh yes indeed the day it all went to shyte ...nah not really ... that came later!
I do
But in life Im shyer and more the retirin refined type in contrast to what me usual long winded posts would suggest... but still same sorta accent... an the enthusiasm is real and how I tackle life... full on full steam ahead go for flamin broke and enjoy every moment some lows along the way but they always pass and theres ALWAYS a smile a laugh a giggle to be had mind you I have been told by some that I could easily talk the ears of a dead dog at half a mile without even tryin Not true of course!Believe me there IS life beyond marriage!!! Relax breathe and smile learn to laugh again from the heart so it reaches the eyes!!

Great to see you blokes (that is a gender neutral term) have organised yourselves or are in the process.
Can I suggest someone uses a video camera for some of Derek's sharpening and plane tuning demos, plus whatever else might be done?
The other thing about videos is it allows people to put faces to names, for better or for worse.
Have a good time and send a notice around the neighbourhood apologising, even before the event!
Cheers,CJ

Just had an email back from Mike and Sandra at Misan Timbers:
Hello Gary<O</O
Thanks for thinking of us.<O</O
We would love to come however would appreciate a bit of guidance on what sorts of timber or sizes would be of most interest.<O</O
We have some nice Tiger and Burl Myrtle in stock at present as well as some incredible grained Huon Pine and Blackheart Sassafras.<O</O
What do we need to bring by way of food? Has anyone got a webber kettle as we would be happy to provide a pork roast or something to be cooked and shared with the attendees.<O</O
Kind regards<O</O

Mike and Sandra

The date is set
OK all,
We have confirmed details:
When: 12 November 2006
Time: 10:30am to late
Where: Mandurah (full address will be PM'ed to all who have said they are coming)
Bring: BYO meat, salad to share and drinks (esky if possible). Examples of any latest work (small), great tools or jigs, basically anything to show off. Also a few oxford scholars to buy some of Misan's timber
Ramps, if you could bring the webber, that would be great. I will bring a video camera.
also, I still need some idea of the types of timber you would like Misan Timbers to bring.
Cheers all, here's to a great afternoon
