can anyone tell me what parking is like at that site ... i have looked at maps and it is not far from where we have routinely been staying (a unit at princes park) when we come to melbourne but i would probably still want to drive over to it rather than take public transport ...

    thanks

    regards david

There is HEAPS of public parking at the show grounds.
But best check with the organisers about which entrance or entrances they be using.

I hope the content matches the venue upgrade, the last one I went to at Caulfield racecourse was pretty pathetic...

i missed all three shows (to which i can reasonable go) last year and didn't bother with the sydney show this year BUT if i lived closer to them i wouldn't hesitate even if they were no better than the caulfield one ... the few dollars for admission is negligible to me but the eight (sydney and melbourne) and three (canberra) hours drive and the concomitant accommodation is a significant impost ... obviously i arrange other things to do as well and our choices of accommodation are our own issue, but still significant

Elan, last year's show at Williamstown was under the new management. It was the best show in Melbourne since they left the Showgrounds last time.

A lot of things about the Williamstown Show (venue etc) were a legacy of the previous organisers, but the new owners influence was very apparent.

I anticipate great things this year being back at the showgrounds and the new format.

I hope everyone gives them a fair go
I got sick of sitting around doing nothing - so I took up meditation.

My wife observed happily that her current craft of choice, paper/card making /etc, is also having a show 'paperrific' the same weekend also at the show grounds...

So you may be able to win brownie points by offering to take your s.o. And suggesting you would be able to fill in the day 'somehow'... [emoji6]

Where at the show grounds is the venue for this years show. There's a lot of venues there.

Is it where the shows used to be in the cattle pavilion at front of the showgrounds or somewhere else, is there a map that can be put on here or your site to show people which entrance to use and which pavilion.

I'm presuming it will be the Exhibition Pavilion that fronts on to Epson Rd if so should be good before the Royal Melb Show. Was hard to get rid of the smell after the show when it's the cattle pavilion or was last time we exhibited there.

Showgrounds map attached. Conformation of building would be good.

    Cheers - Neil

PS Sorry if I've missed this somewhere else or on your website.

    HI David,
The show this year is being held in the Boulevard Pavilion. Parking is available right next to the venue and accessible via Gate 5 or 7. Parking is $15.
We are finalising the program as we speak and will release full event details including transport to the venue, soon.

    Hope to see you there!
