Speaking of October (visit to my shed) we are still waiting for work rosters so that we can work out which weekend we will host on. If possible I want to hold it in the second half of the month but that may not work out.
Meanwhile, I see it being either:
- a Saturday afternoon dinner BBQ (maybe 2-7pm), or
- a Sunday lunch BBQ (maybe 11am - 4pm).
Without bringing the actual date into it, any thoughts or preferences for either the Saturday or Sunday format?
Cheers

Ok folks,
If everyone is happy with me to hijack the September meeting, then I have been given the all clear!!
I will give it my best shot to get all the info correct so not too many messages need to be shot back and forth to save confusion.
Saturday 24th September gathering
It is only 6 days away so hopefully a few people will be able to scoot down to happy old Langwarrin. There is plenty of undercover decking area for tall tales, Carport for a small workshop on resin casting (I have been in contact with Neil -Dai Sensai- and he is happy to show us a thing or two) and my small shed will be open and lathe running for anyone that wants a little spin.
Time will be 11 - 3ish
I will sort out some sort of nourishment for lunch (sandwiches, nibbles, maybe a bbq depending on numbers and weather) and have the kettle going all day. Byo a beer or two if thats your poison
I guess the best way to organize numbers would be if people could mention their interest in the main thread, then pm me and i'll pass on address, phone number etc.
All members are more than welcome, and encouraged to attend.
Hope to see some familiar faces, and new ones at my humble abode!!
Cheers

Gabriel,
That Saturday morning is the monthly meeting of my wood turning club, normally finishes about noon, so the earliest that I can come would be about 1.00 PM.
I have started to cast some for my light house boxes so pointers from Neil would be great. Just make sure lunch does not run out before I can get there.
Peter.

I really want to support this if I can, Gab, and it is short notice and clashes with one day of the Ballarat show, which I have already made known I will be attending. If I can swing it I or we will be there but it will take a fair bit of rearranging on an already crowded weekend. I will see what I can come up with.
Cheers

Not a worry at all Doug.... I knew it was short notice and that it clashed with ballarat. It was more of a case of jumping on Neil (now that sounds lude!!) When he was in town and had a little time.
I suspect a few members will be off to ballarat thus don't expect a huge response but hopefully a few will wander down for a bit of fun"All the gear and no idea"

I've already got something planned that afternoon, but I'm happy to drop in early from 11 for a couple of hours. Langwarrin isn't too far from where I am so this works out well.
