    Default Melbourne Model Engineering Exhibition

    Hi all

Just thought forum members/readers might like to know the Melbourne Model Engineering Exhibition is on again at the end of the month. It's organised by the MSMEE club ( Melbourne Society of Model and Experimental Engineers ) and is held every alternate year.
The show covers a variety of interests including home built CNC machines, steam locos and stationary engines, internal combustion and hot air engines, model boats and workshop equipment.
There will be a number of model engineering clubs and trade stands in attendance as well as the Meccano club, B24 Liberator Memorial Restoration Fund, Assoc of Model Warship Combat Clubs ( model boats that shoot at each other with ball bearing guns ), also the Hackers Group that are involved with building tech projects such as robotics, 3D printers, and retro fitting CNC to machine tools.
The show is on at the Monash University Engineering Building, Wellington Rd, Clayton, 29th - 30th Sept, and the times are 9-5 Sat 9-4 Sunday.
Other than being on the exhibition committee and also having a trade stand at it, I have no other connection to this event .
The club only aims to break even on these events and does it to maintain and promote interest in model engineering and shed tinkering.

    Gary

Here's a few pics from previous exhibitions, showing some of the wide variety of exhibits usually on show.

That looks like it'd be a top show, Gary...
Bit far from the Lower Blue Mountains through.
I hope you don't mind but I've put a reference in the toymaking modelling section.
    Cheers, crowie

Yep there's a lot of great work on show crowie, shame you are a bit far away. Thanks for the reference in the toymaking modelling section as well, no problem at all.
I liked the Atkinson gas engine too azzrock, it's got an interesting steampunk look to it.
