Reduced power tool prices
Gday all
Few more power tools reduced at Bunnings Cranbourne
Metabo/Electra Beckum SCMS KGS255 Was $669 now $399 (1)
Dewalt CMS DW703 10" was $523 now 419 (2 or 3)
Dewalt CMS DW 705 12" $989 / $719 (2 or 3)
Hitachi metal chop saw CC14SE $503 / $350 (1)
3 or 4 7 1/2 Dewalt circ saws, 1 or 2 Dewalt 9 1/4 circ saws, various Bosch/Hitachi sanders, various jigsaws as well reduced.
As before, might pay to ring ahead (59912444) to the tool shop and check/ask to hold for a couple of hours if you are after a particular item.
Come & say g'day to me in indoor timber if you get a chance.
Hope this helps someone...............cheers..............Sean

Gday Mike, Bunnings & other retailers need to get rid of the power tools without the new (half shrouded/insulated) pins on the plug, hence the reductions to clear.
May be other bagains to be had at Bunnings or others over your way.
Cheers..............Sean

How come there's nothing on special at my local (75km) Bunnies?
Is there anything easier done than said?- Stacky. The bottom pub, Cobram.

Dan, probably depends if (a) they actually have some of the soon to be illegal-to-sell power tools and (b) how proactive they are about clearing them.
I know jack about the new regs other that the applicable date is 3rd April according to one of our toolshop blokes.
Cheers mate..................Sean, bare prongs

Quick update:
As at 3 o'clock this afternoon, there were still a number of sanders left (sheet & palm sanders, several ROS (one hitachi)), a Black & Decker 1/2" router, a GMC 1/2" router, a Bosch barrel grip jigsaw, a metabo jigsaw, 3 or 4 bosch 7 1/2" circ saws, 1 or 2 dewalt 7 1/2" circ saws, and some other stuff I can't remember.
Most things were a fair whack off the normal retail (most at least $80 to $100 off by the looks) , so if you're within range & interested - dive in.
HTH someone..........cheers...............Sean... who managed to get tomorrow off

swifty, something to the effect that the pins on electrical stuff sold from 3/4/06 (I think) have to be half insulated - check out a few of your appliances or power tools & you will see what I mean - odds on at least one will have the insulated pins.
The intent I gather is to reduce the likelihood of electrocution from contact with the the pins if a plug isn't inserted fully into the socket.
There is a .pdf on the NSW dept of fair trading w'site I think.
Cheers.............Sean
