Get well messages for Vic Wood
Last Friday one of Australia's most well known and best loved woodturning icons, Vic Wood was admitted to hospital where he underwent a life saving triple bypass operation.
I spoke to Bev Wood tonight and she said he is finally out of intensive care and very slowly mending.
If you would like to leave a message for Vic and/or Bev please leave it as a post here and I will make sure he/she/they get it.
Cheers - Neil

Bev keep an eye on him. A hospital full of beautiful nurses, triple bypass and an old smoothie like Vic...... There's a recipe for trouble if ever there was one.
GET WELL SOON VIC.

To Vic all the best. I've been there and done that with a quadruple and I feel your pain but you will feel a new man after the bones heal after about 3 months.
Today it is practically a routine operation but you are probably feeling like a Mack truck has run over you.
But as my surgeon said don't worry "They got the number of the truck"

Get Well soon Vic
I too have been there and done that nearly 8 years ago
Take it steady in your recovery and all will be well - if it hurts don't do it
You will be up and about in no timeTom

I've only met Vic and Bev once at their timber/garage sale a few years back. Vic was a thorough gentleman helping me with my small purchase and Bev was a gracious hostess making me a nice cup of coffee on that cold Sunday morning.
Never forgotten their kindness, so my best wishes for a speedy and complete recovery.
Peter.

To Vic & Bev,
My every best wish to you both at this time. Don't rush your recovery, just let time weave its magic on you.
I'm sure that you will find your lathes right where you left them when you venture back into the workshop.
Although I've not had the pleasure of your acquaintence - ( yet ) - your ideas on wood turning have been a big influence to me & I hope that you are able to as infuential to us wannabes for many years yet.
Best Wishes,
Barry.

Thinking of Vic Wood
I "met" Vic on this forum and after getting into working with wood I quickly understood that Vic had legendary status within woodworking circles, deservedly so. He kindly offered advice on obtaining some "Ancient" Red Gum (which is black as black) a wood which I still treasure as something special. Upon saying that I reckon that's what I'd describe Vic as being too. I'm wishing Vic a quick recovery and offer anything I could do to help in making a good man better.
