Default Not To Be Missed -Sat Night

New Years Eve, Sat 8.30 PM. SBS, is a show called "Dinner For One". If you havent seen this comedy, and it's been repeated quite a few times, it is worth a watch, I guarantee you'll laugh. Don't be put off because it's in B&W, and give it a few minutes for the comedy to start sinking in.

Anyone who has seen this will back me up.

I would suggest you have a tape ready because it's definitely worth saving.

Sorry can't watch Tv or win lotto. I'm too busy eating prawns, snapper, baby octopus and lobster, all cooked on the barbie.

I'll wash it down with a few beers and some nice white wine.
    Boring signature time again!

Ugghhhhhhhh, I absolutely hate seafood, the latter sounds nice though.
My wife loves anything fish, preferably loaded with garlic.
    I sleep alone those nights

    G'day Ozwinner,

Only $1,000,000? Is that because you're giving me the other $31,000,000?

You're my friend, can I keep you?

I just do not enjoy american attempts at humour, but love the oldies like 'the plank'.
I recall Lucille Ball, had to be screaming hysterically before anyone laughed, god I was only about 10 and loathed it then.
I just prefer subtle humour that needs to be digested and interpreted.
Have a look at Hitch hikers guide and pay attention to Marvin, I have worked with people like that (albeit most didn't have a brain the size of a planet).

    G'day,

When a Yank sitcom has canned laughter to tell me it's funny then they're missing out on what humor is.

The classic English and Aussie sitcoms understand what true humor is ie. Men Behaving Badly, Black Adder, Man About the House, Some Mothers do Av' Em, Love Thy Neighbour, Open All Hours and the true Aussie legend, Kingswood Country.

My 2cents won't always be yours.
