Default Moving - Give Away Free Items

Ok folks its getting closer to the move so with that in mind i have a lot of stuff i won`t be taking so i`m figuring that the week end of the 20th/21st if any one wishes to call by & grab whatever i don`t want to come & take it. Its FREE so bring your trolley/trailer etc. Some stuff is heavy so best bring a mate or two. Got a lot of old machinery & bibs & bobs. Even an old wooden trailer ripe for refurb. You`ll even get the steel wire rims with brand new tyres! Big trolley jack. Gearbox lift hoist. Tables/chairs. Just call in & see whatever. Old USA Jewel combustion stove for refurb that also hooks up to water pipe to heat water. And much much more. Drop us a message here if interested. Close to M5/Hume Hwy intersect Sydney. gordo

    Everything is FREE.

Gday Ray. The Teardrop is most definately coming with me. I have a 1935 built all wood box trailer with 1935 17" Willys spoke wheels & brand new tyres - never fitted to go with it.Wheels have been sand blasted ready to paint. Got a Rover ride-on to be refurbed. Needs gearbox? I think. Theres just too much to take pics of. Got that multi purpose Herbert Work Shop unit & another upright or lay down Drill press. Its all got to go.FREE. 50/60 year old bench saw. Needs tweaking.Tube sander. Side sander - takes 6" to 15" glue on paper discs. Has interchangeable backing plates/discs. Dozens of occy straps.Abel Cooke Colt 255 compressor - needs minor repair. Countless dozens of other stuff. Beaut family sized pine table - needs sanding & clear coat. Another super heavy duty timber table - takes 2 blokes to lift just the table! with 6 maybe 8 black steel chairs. Dewalt Radial Arm Saw Model 203800 originally owned by O`Brien Glass. Still got their ID tag. Needs switch. Will chuck in enough profiled ali frame to build a base for it. Got access for you if you want to call by. cheers gordo

Gday SnowySkies. Its ticking me off in not taking more because i have the room in Tassie (refer pics elsewhere) but i have to keep the removalists costs down. I had a budget of 20k which blew out beyond so have curtailed it to 3 x 20` containers. So we see what happens. gordo

I guess I was lucky when I moved in that I didn't have that much. A cheap back-haul removalist to take care of the mill, lathe, fridge and washing machine, the rest travelled down in the van with me.
I'd hate to try that now, I seem to have acquired an awful lot of extra 'stuff'

Gordon thanks might just pop round and see whats on offer ..........but while your busy dealing with others I'll hook the tear drop up and make sure all the lights work I'll bring it back might even deliver it down to Tassie

Oh you have some neat stuff hope it all finds good homes.

With all these Tassie forumites maybe its time they had a GtG Replonics/Trev, Snowy/Geoff, yourself and a few others.

3x20ft containers make it one 40ft and I'll take your tool boxes save the 20ft extra

Gday Ian. There`s heaps of stuff. And its all usable. Couple of heavy gauge tool boxes - think one is 2`square. Other about 4`L x 2`square. Bank of 6 metal lockers - 6` tall, 3 over 3.Add some shelves & you got storage for 'nut/screws/washers & bolts' (there`s a joke in that)
Double s/s laundry sink with bottom cabinets for a workshop. 4 pushbikes including my 9` long stretch cargo chopper which is pictured in Cycling section. Three gernis/hoses etc. The list goes on. There`s a McCullouch petrol whipper snipper. Needs service & trigger repair. A petrol edger.Think its a New World brand. If you`re interested its just a matter of calling by & taking what i can`t. gordo

    Sorry Gordo

Canada is a bit too far for a weekend.

asking about the "giveaway pile" was tongue-in-cheek around you buying more stuff to take with you

I wish you all the best with your move.
3 x 20ft equals one B-Double -- at least as far as Melbourne.

What I'm really thinking is "How will Gordon fit the contents of three 20 footer containers into the house and still have space for the renovations?"
    regards from Alberta, Canada

Gday Ian. I knew where you were coming from that`s why i worded a joke in there - nut/screws/washers/&bolts. lol
As for room, have a look at the pics of place i bought in -'Nothing at all to do with Woodwork' >>>> 'Finally'. Think i can squeeze in what i am taking. gordo

"Squeeze" might be the operative word.

Having recently moved out of an inner city terrace, I'm thinking the last thing Gordon needs in Queenstown is to have to move stuff to make room to do stuff on the new house
