Gordon thanks for the kind words I am sure Ken will chime in I am told by his wife ATM he's sleeping seems he's been flat out since picking up the Herbert. He has emailed me photos so in light him dozing I shall post them here.
I know Ken took to the Herbert from the afternoon he got it home, has spent many hours often starting at 7amish till to hot in the shed somewhere around 1.30.
Stripped everything down, to frame wire brushed that repainted Black. Sanded the top timbers and re lacquered, sanded and painted bottom timbers Blue.
Took the main shaft to his old work and linished it up. From there each section from headstock which has new bearings fitted, has been meticulously cleaned and re-painted by hand using blue Hammertone.
Motor cleaned and painted new drive belt fitted.
The Saw Table and Planner cleaned
The scrollsaw arbour was badly worn but Ken machined a new shaft and fitted bushes. It had been running out of true and worn the shaft badly and a little damage to the casting very minor.
Ken still has much to sort out lots of additional parts which were not fitted.
Great work KenLast edited by wheelinround; 6th March 2016 at 07:08 AM. Reason: SPELINGL CORRECTION

Andrew thats a top idea I'll ask and am sure he'll read this himself.
Edited due to not putting brain in gear.
Andrew @100kg+ and me forgetting location in shed at Ken's to trailer its not going to happen I should have remembered having wheeled myself almost same weight across the back lawn I need to loose at least 15kg again.Last edited by wheelinround; 6th March 2016 at 09:42 AM.
