    Default No More Norm

I just recieved this message from the How To Channel and it looks like they can't get the New Yankee Workshop.

I'll have to watch the old videos.

"You may be aware that HOW TO Channel was planning to premiere the New Yankee Workshop on 6 April 2006.

We sincerely regret to inform you that unfortunately we will not be able to do this as planned , and it is unlikely that we will be able to do so in the near future.

The reason being that we were unable to finalise a licence to broadcast the series in Australia with the program's distributors. We are extremely disappointed by this outcome and acknowledge our viewers desire to see the series on the HOW TO Channel. If there was ever a show that was meant to be on our channel, it is the New Yankee Workshop.

However, we have left the door open with the distributors and would welcome the series on the HOW TO Channel in the future should the opportunity come knocking again.

We thank you for watching the HOW TO Channel.

    Cheers,

    THE HOW TO Team"

    Unhappy No More Norm....unless...

    Hey Scally,

Got the same message. I have sent a reply asking the HOW TO team to give us the email address of the distributor. I figure if we can move HOW TO - we might be able to drum up enough support through this Forum to move the distributors. That is - if its not just HOW TO being unwilling to shell out the right fees for the programme. I think it would be worth the effort to try posting in a few of the categories if I get the address.. you never know what woody power can do till we try.

    Cheers.

    Default How Not To....

Further to my earlier post, I reckon its 'How To' closing their purse too early. I had a reply from them to my request saying that they think it would be in everyones best interests (whose??) if we leave it in their hands in the immediate future. Hmmmmm....sounds like penny pinching to me! Maybe the next step is a post to the NYW web site bitching about their Aussie agent. Just a finger in the pot type of stir....without burning the finger.
