    Default Oval (Ellipse) layout calculator

There's a new (second) oval calculator on blocklayer.com that calculates incremental lengths from the Major Axis to points on the circumference. (Take a look to see what I mean)
How to Draw an Oval or Ellipse - Visual Animated Oval and Ellipse Calculators

The (old) top diagram and calculator is for the pins and chord layout method (hit the 'Draw' button), but the new bottom diagram calculates the incremental circumference points.
Mouse over the arrows to animate the increments and find the best fit for a smooth curve.

This new calculator should be better for larger ovals, especially very large ovals or oval sections in landscaping.
If you visit the page with Chrome, IE10 or the latest Firefox (23), you can use slider controls to animate the oval diagram changing it's Minor axis (height) to find the best shape. (very elliptical to completely round)

It also displays the actual printed scale, so if you check the 'Scale Ruler' check-box and print the diagram (at 100% printer scale) you can directly measure anything in the oval at scale from the printed page.
And, if you left click in the diagram, release then drag your mouse you can measure anything inside the oval diagram on screen.

It also calculates oval area and approximate circumference.

Anything else needed to be calculated for ovals please let me know.

    Default oval table

Thanks for this, Blocklayer. A couple of my neurons have been rubbing together, formulating design ideas for a small oval drop leaf table.

    This is a great help.
