Hello forum, An unusual request I know but in my historian guise I'm seeking any old tins or containers by Goodlass Wall paints. Goodlass Wall paints were an English based company with international branches. They were in Rokeby Street Collingwood (Victoria) from around 1914- 1955. I'm involved in putting together a small historical piece about the firm and am seeking anything about their Colllingwood years. In particular I am seeking paint tins in any condition that carry the name Goodlass Wall (Australia). Yes I can manage a fee $ for your trouble as long as it's not too ridiculous. Any old tins would be great, empty or not. I would expect them to be a sitting at the back of your shed or parents/grandparents shed for that matter. One of the common brands they were licensed to produce was Valspar and these are usually in vertical striped tins. Anything at all would be of use and although I'm in Melbourne, please contact me still if you live interstate.
Please note I am not a collector and the tins are to be used in a display. If you also had any brochures, pamphlets or memorabilia relating to the company in Collingwood. I may be interested in purchasing same. In addition, if you had some photographs of Rokeby Street Collingwood prior to 1980 (Ideally pre 1960) that would be absolutely amazing. Please note this request is ongoing so feel free to contact me whenever you read this. Thanks everyone for your time and attention. John
