Hi to all fellow wood nutters,

(I think there's a quiet admission there somewhere)

After much umm-ing and ahh-ing I have decided to get myself and my tools over to the Perth Wood Show, happening on the 11 to the 13 of August at the Claremont showgrounds.
This message is to let the WA public know I am coming over and they'd better spend up big or else...
Seriously, I am looking forward to the show and the chance to finally meet people I have been in touch with over the years. I will be displaying and selling my range of marking out tools, with heaps of everything in stock. Because there was a bit or spare room in my crate of stuff being sent over for the show, I threw in a few pieces of timber that will be for sale on my stand. There is a small amount of Huon Pine. Some stunning Figured Tasmanian Blackwood, and also few pieces of Box Elder. For those that don't know it, Box Elder is a beige colored timber of medium density, boring...yes...but- this timber I have has got some of the most stunning coloring and grain markings I have seen in any wood. Colors ranging from bright pink/red, to bright yellow and throught to dark grey. Put this in a timber that has got a serious amount of burl figuring and we are starting to get somthing worth having. It is in block sizes great for boxmaking, turning and general small stuff like that.

See you there.
