Damn. A bit of a bummer. Even after its mixed reviews from Brisbane, I was still looking forward to it, after all, its a wood show!
Oh well, I just remembered a week ago that the Newcastle show is coming up in Feb sometime, so I will try and get to that. Its a good setup, the wife hops out of the car and walks one way to the craft show, and I walk the other way to the wood show! IDEAL!
Last year when we both met up for lunch, it turned out she had spent $150 more than me. Since both sexes are after equality nowadays, I just had to head back in and buy some more tools
We will have to see what happens with the Hands On Expo now.
Nathan.

Oh shucks. How sad and totally unexpected. Bye bye...
More power to the Working with wood show. The real woodwork show. I can't wait for the Brisbane show this year and am really looking forward to it. I only hope the catastrophe that was Hands on up here last year hasn't put off the exhibitors from attending the real woodwork show in Brisbane this year.
DarkyEvil to the bone. But really cute.

I was looking forward to The Hands On especially the metal side of things. Will we see a return or has it gone for ever.
Oh well Newcastle and STWWS will have to be enough along with H&F's and Trend open days.

Crikey!
It wasn't because of my lack of spending at the Brisbane show.

I hope it isn't cancelled for you guys. I thoroughly enjoyed the Brisbane Hands On show and will be dissapointed if it gets the chop altogether. It was great not having to line up to talk to the vendors about their products and I thought that the specials were quite reasonable as well.

Doh
That is sad...
I went to the Brisbane one and loved it, Richard Raffan was there doing turning demonstrations, and I could have sat there all day watching him work, was amazing.
Oh, I did look at other stuff too!

Calrain - Had you gone to the Timber & Working With Wood Show the last couple of years you would have been able to sit and watch him doing the same thing there.
This year the T&WWW Show has international woodturning demonstrator, Guilio Marcalongo instead of Richard Raffan. He's vibrant, innovative, and not afraid to step out of his comfort zone to give you something completely different. Probably one of the best woodturning demonstrators around today. Not only that but you will see something different every time he demonstrates, so next year will be completely different to what he does this year.
The WWWShows this year will also be much better than any previous shows by a long shot. I believe there's some really special surprises in the wind for all who attend. Including exhibitors.
Cheers - Neil
