A number of people have asked about posting photos into forums. Here is the way to go about it.

1/ If you have your own web site then all you have to do is put the photo onto your site and paste a link to it.

2/ If you don't have your own web site then this is a good alternative. Go to Image Station http://www.imagestation.com and become a member. They give you virtually unlimited FREE storage space for your photos. You can then upload all the images you like and link back to them from these forums.

The link for the above image is without the spaces between the [img] and the url. For more details click on the *UBB Code is ON here, or to the left of the box into which you type your posting.

A few hints for posting images.
==========================

1/ Use a graphics program like Corel PhotoPaint or Adobe Photo Shop etc. to edit your image before puting it onto the net.

2/ Save your image as either .jpg or .gif (.gif is good if you want a clear background like the above image .jpg will give a smaller file size with more colours and better image quality)

3/ Set your resolution to 72dpi as that is the optmum resolution for the www. Any higher will just slow down the loading of the graphic and everyone off.

4/ Crop or size your image to make it viewable but not so big that it takes up the whole monitor. If you have a lot of background but the important part of the image is just a small section in the middle, crop the image so as the background is virtually eliminated and the important stuff is easily viewed.

I hope all of this is a help.

Cheers - Neil

PS don't get too carried away and include half a dozen images with each post or you will slow the BB down to snails pace. Use a bit of commonsense.
