    Default Old slasher

    Hi all,

we recently purchased a property here in Vic complete with chattels, one of them being this 3 point linkage slasher, interestingly enough after searching the net and also museum aust I can find absolutely no info on this lovely old machine.
You can see clearly someone has gone to a great deal of trouble to have their company details cast into the gearbox. I phoned the number but received no reply.
If any one knows any history about this slasher I would very much appreciate it.

    Regards Oddjob1

I tried the Google machine, found three links by searching for "gold seal implements" ( with the quotes )

    Default Phew, not going crazy!

Thanks for that mate, for a while there I thought someone was having a lend of me.
Interestingly enough there is a local guy here who has been breaking his neck to buy the old slasher, even off the last property owner! My guess is it has to be rare as hens teeth so I might see if it's worth going to a museum or something.

    Cheers,

    Oddjob1

There are Historic Agricultural machinery groups in most states and some guys who host largish private collections. You should be able to find a new home somewhere.

You might have to google tractor rather than implement.
