Default Rolly munro coming to Newcastle

Just a quick update on Rolly Munro's demonstration.

He has requested two workbenches as well as a 16cfm compressor so that he can demonstrate:

    dry turning
    wet turning
    texturing
    carving
    piercing
    colouring

He will also talk about the changes in tool technology, as well as the relative benefits of each type, through to the very popular carbide tips.

Some of his hollowing tools may also be available for sale.

    Cheers,
    Woodnut

    Default Rolly Munro in Newcastle!

Rolly Munro in Newcastle - Saturday 27th April

    Woodturners of the Hunter (WOTH)

We have reached our quota of 60 attendees for this once in a lifetime opportunity to see Rolly Munro. Thank you to all who have booked.

However, there is space a few more if anyone would like to attend. So far we have visitors coming from Taree, Central Coast, Sydney, Blue Mountains and the Hunter Valley for what should be a fantastic day.

Rolly will be demonstrating wet and dry turning, better ways to make hollow forms, as well as embellishments such as carving, piercing, colouring etc. He will also be discussing some of of the different metals available now for turners, such as HSS and carbide.

Cost to non-members of WOTH: $35, that includes lunch as well as morning and afternoon tea. It is also a great opportunity to catch up with members from other clubs. There are also some great turners who aren't involved with clubs such as Hughie (well known to anyone on the Woddturning Forum!!)

If you are thinking about coming along then you will have to be quick as catering is being finalised. Details can be viewed in the first post.

To book a place at this stage please contact:

    Cheers
