So that explains why Brendan was going to England. Well done

Brendan also has a thread on the ladders: Ladders for Chelsea

And, three related videos on YouTube

We await his follow up video from Chelsea.

Brendan didn't win, he was commissioned to make one component of the display.

Yes, that's right, he was a member of the winning team.

It's very understandable that a regional newspaper highlight its role in this, viz. Brendan's contribution and Phillip Johnson's inspiration from the Grampians. Brendan explains his relationship with Phillip and the Grampians in his video clips, which to me indicates a more significant contribution from Brendan than just a commission for another component of the display.

Congratulations to all those who contributed to the win, and to Brendan for his part in it.

And having watched the display on BH & G and the other photos I feel that without the ladder there would not have been such an impact to win the most coveted award it got. It sort of made it as your eyes kept focusing on the ladder

Just got home today after 4 weeks away in England. Thanks to you all for the congrats. To be honest, I feel a bit of an imposter because my part in the project was just a small one. As was pointed out I didn't win at Chelsea (and at no point have I ever said this to anyone or inferred it) but I do consider myself part of the team that put the display together. And just to clarify I wasn't "commissioned" to make the ladders; I haven't received any payment for the 50 or so hours I put into this work. I, like all that contributed, and there were lots who donated many more hours than me, donated our efforts to what we thought would be a worthwhile project.
