Still don't know for sure yet Ding. Should know more by the end of this week. But I don't think it will be as high as your prediction.
At this stage there is only a 10" cabinet saw that has been fitted with the SawStop device. There are rough plans for a bandsaw and a docking saw, but no plans for a panel saw.

Pricing now in!
This machine will cost $5,500. This includes GST as well as delivery & installation to most parts of Australia.
Should the emergency brake be activated due to contact with a finger (or hand, arm, face , etc) then you will receive a free, yes FREE, brake cartridge. You will, however, need to purchase a new sawblade.
I'm pretty well versed on the machine now, so feel free to ask any more questions.

Stopper (hope you don't mind me calling you stopper), this is the bit I don't understand.
If the saw just saved someone's finger then why do you need to compensate them with a free cartridge. They should be grateful and happy to pay for a new cartridge right?
Or is it just out of goodwill?Visit my website at www.myFineWoodWork.com
