My wife and I will be there.
OK folks we're good to go!
Couple of thing:
Weather for Saturday 29 March 2014
http://vortex.accuweather.com/adc200...2_white/03.jpg
Partly sunny
High: 26°C Real Feel: 28°C
So should be nice weather. However I have also heard there may be showers. Humph.....
Geelong can be a bit like Melbourne so bring something for warm, cool, damp and perfect weather, just to be on the safe side.
We will be inside under cover at both venues except for smokers who will be banished to the elements.
Sign in our factory says:
IF YOU'RE
SMOKING
YOU'D BETTER
BE ON
FIRE!
We have seating for about 25 people, so it might be an idea to bring a folding chair if you want to be sure of a seat. You can always leave it in the car if not needed.
Don't forget to bring lunch with you BBQ facility will be available at Carrol's but you will need to supply your own makings for the BBQ.
For those who don't want to BBQ or bring their lunch there's a Hotel with good meals, McDonalds, KFC, Pizza Hut, Subway, Chinese, Italian and a number of other take away and eat in places all within about 2 minutes drive. So no lack of face feeding facilities.
Bickies, coffee, tea and Bonox, will available at the U-Beaut venue.
We've had a couple of clubs in for demo day/night in the last few weeks and they've given the wood a bit of a hiding so not as much left as I thought I would have, still got a bit though and going to break out some Cedar of Lebanon and Osage Orange tomorrow, I was hang on to these but have been persuaded to part with it as well, so that'll add to the pile a little.
We also have a little (and I do mean little) Tool Museum almost ready to go. It's there but not quite finished at the moment, however it may be of interest to some. Even got the Head Stock of the lathe that turned the plinth for the first gold Melbourne Cup in 1876 a couple of treadle machines and a few interesting bits and bobs.
Look forward to seeing all there on Saturday
Cheers - Neil :U
PS May also have a special guest drop in with some info on a new range of router bits and accessories he's bringing in to the country a ridiculously cheep prices.
I can confirm now, I will be there.
Wish I could but work gets in the way again:((:(( Richie
There has been a change of plans:-
We have 2 of our members attending the get together and may be 2 more if that is ok:wink:
Thanks
regards
