Thanks Neil, Pauline, Jim, and Irene for providing the opportunity for us to come together, be educated, and stock up on supplies. It's a pity the numbers weren't as good as expected, but I think those that made the effort enjoyed the day.
A few more photos from the day.

Thanks and an observation.
Just writing to say thanks to both places for an interesting day. I got my Wipe on Poly from Carrols and a Polishing handbook from Ubeaut as planned and some useful info for future polishing tasks. My mate Des won a turning smock as a seat prize at Ubeaut and was very happy and purchased a polishing handbook too. The new Baladonia router bits and tools look like they will be winners also.
As an aside I would also like to add that it was disappointing to see the low number of attendees especially when people say they are coming, things are organised for a larger amount of participants and organisers take time and effort to set it all up hoping for a good attendance and hopefully to earn a few dollars for their efforts. In future people should be honest enough to say that they cannot come if they cannot come. Don't beat around the bush with maybes and yesses then don't bother to turn up as that is just inconsiderate to all concerned. If this has offended anyone I am sorry to say too bad.
I had hoped to meet a few of the Lara woodworkers but that didn't happen either. Maybe next time. Being a night worker I can never attend the Lara or Geelong get togethers..........

I would have liked to have gone. Sounds like i missed a great event but my day was too busy already and just could not fit it in. Is there another in the planning?
Cheers
DougI got sick of sitting around doing nothing - so I took up meditation.

Thanks to those who turned up there were 32 all up, doesn't look like it from the photo's but there was.
For anyone who's curious about the funny looking yellow thing that appears behind me in 3 of the photo's. It isn't a dodgem car.... It is actually a robotic cling wrap machine. Got a video of it somewhere if I can find it I'll put it on here.

Couldn't find vid of our robot but here's basically the same thing. Sorry about the video length ours only lasts for about 15 seconds whilst the one below goes for 2:40 get the drift of it then shut it down.

I can see why it has to be a robot, you would get so giddy if you had to drive it, it's bad enough just watching.
By the way glade you all had a good time.
