    Default Stimson's closing down

    Stimsons in 21 Mullens St. Balmain, suppliers of woodworking and finishing gear for many years, Close their doors for the last time on Thursday 3rd August. Went down there looking for bargains - not a lot left except for hinges, drawer fittings and finishes. Worth a visit if you're not too far away.

    T.W.Winkworks (later trading as Winkworks Mitre 10) closed down here in Cairns not long after Bunnies bought out the 2 BBC stores & set up camp about 3 bocks away.
    Winkworths had been there so long that the side street was named after them.

    Dang!
    Not that I had been there for years (living in Bris Vegas) but I used to visit there when I lived in Rozelle. I find that kind of supplier so much more interesting than Bunnings... and was always confident they knew their products backwards so great for advice.

    BUGGER ... I just went down there this morning and horror! No Stimsons!

    Does anyone know where in Sydney I can get spirit stains now?
