If you haven't attended the Woodies Swap Meet before, might I suggest you attend this one. It will definitely be the last one held at this historic venue. SO DON'T MISS OUT!!!

After 13 years of Swap Meets we have decided it is time to call it quits.

For the last time Maine Woodworkers will be holding this now famous event at the historic Tarawatta Homestead, Welshmans Reef, in the heart if Central Victoria. On the banks of Cairn Curren Reservior in historic sheds and under the massive pepercorn trees.

Vic Wood and other world class turners will be in attendence demonstrating and selling, there will also be demo's of finishing, carving, pyrography, power tool accessories and lots more.

For sale will be anything and everything to do with woodwork. New and used tools and machinery, lathes, polishes, woodturning and craft supplies, abrasives. every sort of timber immaginable. You name it and we reckon it will be there.

Live music played on wooden instruments, with audience participation. Not to mention great food and drinks with real coffee being served.

A Bandsaw Mill will definitely be working on site all day this year cutting your logs into slabs (BYO logs).

This is a woodies event not to be missed. We guarantee you will have a great time come rain, hail or 110deg. in the shade.

Worried the women (or menfolk) will be bored with it? Don't!! Just send them up the road 5 minutes to historic Maldon or into Castlemaine or even on to Bendigo. Leaving you in peace to have the greatest day you have had in years. A woodies delight, to say the least.

    SUNDAY 20TH FEB
1.5 hours drive up the Calder Hwy from Melb. Follow the signs from Castlemaine, Maldon & Newstead. You can't miss it.

We still have a few vacancies for sellers. Phone Geoff on 5474 3086 or email him by clicking on this link. [email protected]

Gates open to sellers at 7am and 9am for buyers. Admission $2 children under 15 free.

This years raffle will have the latest (not even off the ship yet) Carba-Tec variable speed mini lathe as first prize. Other prizes are yet to be finalised but will include a set of Forstner Bits and one of the new Arbortech wood carvers with extra blades.

Sorry about the ramble on. But if you miss this one, you really will miss out.

    Cheers
