Default Sydney Meet and Greet - and more!

The NSW Ubeaut Wooden Boat Squadron should meet.
Inaugral meeting is open to all... no boat needed.
You must like timber and working with wood.
My place on Kogarah Bay, Sans Souci.
Come along and I'll let you onto the second hand tool shop from sweet woodworking heaven... so it will be tools, timber, boats, bbq, beer, kids and the other loves of your lives (dogs, men, women) are all welcome.
NO CATS OR BIRDS! My dogs will hunt them.

    Hate boats, love wood?
Come along anyway, pretend to be a pirate or Matthew Flinders... Meet and Greet. Bring stuff, timber to swap, tools to show off, bits and pieces to swap... whatever.

Suggest a Saturday in May or June.
    Come on Sydneysiders... suggest away.
    Cheers,
    Clinton

Clinton, I'm in. One suggestion, maybe not the weekend of the Sydney Wood Show 18 - 20 June. Any other weekend is free.

I would be up for it too....

someone has got to keep an eye on Pat...

Woodshow weekend would also be bad for me.

Great idea Clinton, I've been hoping something like this would come along before I embark on my GIS build.

I like the idea, and I would be in as long as I am not working.

Another bad weekend for me I'm afraid. Daughter's school fete...

I could come to the next one if this is a good weekend for most other folks though.

29th May it is... at the moment ... anyone find that a bad weekend?
Might have to do two weekends over a month to fit with peoples plans.
    Cheers,

OK, we will do the 29th of May.
We will do another one so Christos can come along.
Christos, we can do it at my place... you can canvass people for dates, so that it suits you. Ahhh, the power of decision making. You have the power mate, use it to your advantage.

Anddddd, I see Michael Storer has a "Quick, 4 1/2 hour canoe" plan available.
I could pay for materials and set up a workshop... anyone think making a boat (canoes DO count) counts as a good thing?
Call it the 'bad weather plan'.

Actually, if there is interest, we can do the canoe over the two weekend. 1 on the first weekend, finish it on the second weekend, and do as much on the second as time allows... try and set a world build speed record for Michael, as currently a Canadian stars on his website... and it should be an Aussie, right?
    Cheers,
    Clinton
