Hi Kev,
do you know of any sites that would have photos of previous competition entries?

Competition Photos
Diamonds,
The Tasmanian Timber and Working with Wood Show was held for the first time last year, alas, no competition, hence no photos, but two of the 3 Woodcraft Guilds did exhibit members work.
Don't be ashamed to show your work, entry is free, and all entrants get a free pass to the show.
I have attached a photo of part of last year's combined Guild's display.

PTC,
Just sneek out while she's asleep, she won't know, 4.5 hours each way, the whole day at the show and you'll be home by 10:30pm, just tell her you took the wrong turn when you went to get some milk.
If you come I'll introduce you to a guy and his daughter who make some great bandsawn boxes....promise.

Photos of Bandsawn Boxes
I mentioned bandsawn boxes from a father/daughter combination in our Guild, in my last post.....I went looking to see if I had any photos. The photo below is all I could find, all of these boxes have had some of their cutting on a band saw.
Doesn't do their work justice as they have made much better boxes, but it does give you an idea of the variety.

Lack of dry timber in larger sizes is the reason for laminating.
