See Tea Lady in Gilbert & Sulivan's "Iolathe"
I can see a lot of "round tuits" being found and pressed into service.all of a sudden. Or maybe lots of hair being washed that night.
One of the other things I do is sing in a little singing group here in Upwey, called Singularity. We are doing a couple of "concert" performances of Gilbert and Sullivan's Iolanthe. And I have one of the lead rolls. I get to sing Phyllis. Our performances are always warmly received and are always a lot of fun. We are in costume, but just singing the music, not acting the lines in between. A narrator fills in the story. A complete fantasy of course, as who ever heard of fairies and women having anything to do with politics? A swell as fun, there is also some beautiful music and very memorable songs.
So if you are near Mitcham in Melbourne you have your chance on Sunday the 23rd October.

Hmm! A pdf file. How do I make that into a picture? Any moderators out there?Last edited by tea lady; 14th October 2010 at 10:38 AM. Reason: cos you never see the typos till you post the thing.

I hope you'll be posting a video or MP3 of it for those of us who are doing our hair that night

I opened it in Adobe Reader 9 (Free), went to Tools, Select & Zoom, & clicked on Snapshot Tool. I drew a box around the whole page & copied it to the clipboard.
Then I opened MS Paint (Free in windows) & pasted it to a new page.
Then I did Save As, and made it a Jpeg file.
Easy.Cliff.

We are also doing a country tour. So get out your "round tuits" if you live neat Kerang or Cahuna. I am appearing in the Cahuna performance. The "other soprano" is doing Kerang. (No no! She's really nice. Not as good as me of course. )
