Termite - Back Again
Hi Folks, I'm back again. My apologys to anyone that I haven't replied to during my absence. Against most advice regarding which ISP to go with, I went with Sludgepond, for economic reasons. After 10 days of a nightmare they admitted that all the problems were at their end and allowed me to disconnect with no charges. I am now with Internode (ok ok you are allowed to say "I told you so").
During the past month since the job went bust I've had a very interesting time as well as the above ISP situation. I came down with a wog, which turned to bronchitis, which led to a lung xray, which showed a density, which frightened the crap out of me and SWMBO, which led to a CT scan, which cleared the density situation as OK, WHEW!
But according to my GP, overall I'm in about the same condition as a '44 Ford.
No longer roadworthy, but ok for a bit of paddock bashing (workshop), so I've retired, financial terms dependant on a run over the pits by the Centrelink doctor.
So, armed with 2 Gig of bandwith and plenty of time I'm back.
Watchout!

Well it's no wonder they have it in for you!
Type in the following into Google "termite attack on optical fibre" Australia only.
One of the results mentions a termite donger
http://www.abc.net.au/http/sfist/shwy4.htm
mentions "They needed hundreds of boundary riders to fight termite attack on the posts"

Welcome into retirement, Termite.
With a push from the State of WA, my employer, I took the plunge in August and, 2 months on, don't regret it. The shed has seen more of me than it ever did before and my camera gear (my other passion) has been dusted off.
All I have to do is plough my way through the 25 page list of things to do, that LOML presented to me as a retirement gift, and I will have time to make stuff and take pictures of it.
Rob
It only takes one drink to get me loaded. Trouble is, I can't remember if it's the thirteenth or fourteenth.
