Latest tally
OK the latest tally I have is I think as follows:
numbat 1 flooring, 1 structural
silentC 1 flooring, 1 structural - (will take whatever)
NewLou 1 structural - subject to clarification - only if can be dropped in Wagga
aabb 1 structural
Baz 1 structural
jshaw 1 flooring
That makes 3 flooring and 5 structural.
Lou I have sent you a PM asking you to clarify your participation if it cant be dropped in Wagga.
I will make some preliminary enquiries and get back.

Update
Posted in the wood for SA forum " It turns out that the flooring is 100x25" so does anyone want to change their order given the above.
I just tried to phone the mate of E Maculata who is providing the timber - it seems that this wont progress any further until Friday. He is busy with stocktake - given that it is near the end of the financial year that is understandable. I was unable to talk to him.
So you guys have until Thursday evening to either get on board, change your mind, not participate.

Be very sure guys the flooring IS 100x25, cause that is normally a nominal size prior to machining, only DAR 100x25 I usually see is dedicated decking or special orders.

catchy catchphrase needed here, apply in writing to the above .

I have to own up to the quote that it is 100x25. As I remember the timber mill said it was 80x19mm. The truck company that has the timber and will deliver it tomorrow told me it is 100x25 so this is a very second hand piece of information.
We will have the timber tomorrow. Trevor is getting the flooring the rest of us structural so when Trevor gets it we can ask him to confirm its sizing.

What a beautiful day
I'm waiting, waiting, waiting Stevo. The trucky is already 2 hours later than the scheduled time. But on the other hand he might have decided to drive around Adelaide in a clockwise direction now that he knows that I am getting the flooring, in which case my scheduled time will be extended by a few hours. The drop saw is ready, the camera is poised for the moment and best of all it's not raining. I will now go and get the tape measure ready to confirm the size, after all we wouldn't want to give misleading information, would we!
Regards from Adelaide

Numbat, I rang Ablet's Transport this morning, they have a truck with crane. Carries about 7 tonne, cost per hour is $72:76 includes GST and fuel. They can do the job, maybe unload semi at Ablet's, load truck and then deliver to each house? or one house north side and one south side?
Cheers

Thanks Baz.
Where is the Abletts yard - Fyshwick? Mitchell?
Do you have a contact number?
Will they take delivery of the timber in their yard?
Sounds like the go it may well be worth getting it delivered to all the houses in one go. I would also imagine that this is week days only so everyone would have to be home or leave very specific instructions on where the timber was to go.

Have just found this thread. Normally I would be interested, but I am moving house soon and expecting my first baby, so SWMBO has no patience for this kind of suggestion at present.
I'd love to see how the timber looks and what the costs are for a later delivery however.
Good luck

Numbat, their yard is in Queanbeyan, 62975955, I spoke to Ray, he must be in charge of the Hi-ab truck. Maybe Ablet's could do the transport from Grafton?
Cheers

Have a look in the timber for SA thread. I have some pictures there of the timber I received. It is largely good.

Just a small update guys - I just checked and as I suspected the timber is coming from Lismore. Not sure how close these guys supplying the timber are to the river but from the news Lismore is getting hammered by heavy rains and flooding. I will try and call tomorrow but I suspect that right now they have higher priority things on their mind.
I just hope that E maculata (Bruce) and Glock45 are all OK and have survived the rains and the flooding.

They might be using the extra timber to build rafts.

Guys - I am not going to do anything more on this for the moment (ie for the next week). Given the flooding in and around Lismore and that I will be going away for a week to Adelaide.
I will pick this up again when I get back and things have settled down in northern NSW.
