    Default Timber Planes

    Hello everyone,

Matt here from Paul's City Hardware - Sydney CBD

Some years ago we had some Timber Planes in our store and they were quite a hit, well I've recently had a new shipment come in and we are selling them again.

    Unfortunately we do not have the store anymore so I am selling them online;
Paul's Hardware Online, Hard to get hardware, direct to your door.

As an introductory offer to the Woodwork Forum members only, we will be giving 20% off the planes advertised on our website. The prices on the website do not include GST.

To do so please have a look at the site and choose which one(s) you would like then email me; [email protected]

    1. Your nickname on here
    2. Product code

Please do not purchase through the site as it is much easier for me to do it manually with giving discount.

Neil / ubeaut said it was ok for me to post this.

    Regards,

    Matt and Dave

    Hello Matt and Dave.
Thank you for your generous offer.
A quick question about your double blade Rebate Plane.
It seems to have one blade. Is there a hidden nicker or knife on the far side?
    What am I missing?

To be honest I don't know alot about the Timber Planes, I am looking at it now and it only appears to have 1 Blade, it was put down as a double rebate plane on the invoice but I will email my source and ask them why it is called that when there clearly is 1 blade.

    Thumbs up

    G'day fellas and welcome indeed.

I remember your shop! Good to see you are still in the business.

Those white diamond tipped PH screwdriver bits are a good looking idea for one of the worst screw head designs ever put in front of mankind.

What is the quality of your taps and dies like and can you get left and right hand types for both T & D.??

    Hi artme,

Sorry about the late reply! Well we're trying to stay in the business anyhow, website business is alot harder than the shop ever was hehe.

The diamond tipped PH bits are very good quality, Witte brand from Germany. Had very good feed back with those. They grip in screw heads like glue!

The taps and dies I sell are Sutton ones for now(left over from the shop) until I can source them from a new company. I only have right hand types at the moment sorry.

T&D mean Tap and Drill ?

    Matt
